- Year: 1979
- Make: Toyota
- Model: Land Cruiser FJ40 Long Cab
- Color: Olive Brown
- Origin Of Name: Tim and Charles independently came up with the idea of naming it after Don Quixote's horse, Rocinante. Rocinante is a somewhat flowery way of saying 'old nag' in spanish.
- History: Rocinante was purchased in Medellin, Colombia from an old farmer for 11,800,000 pesos. Charles and Wadsbone gave it a tune-up and drove it from Medellin, Colombia through Ecuador and Peru, and then back again to Ipiales, Colombia. Charles essentially auctioned the car in the Plaza De Bolivar on a Sunday for 9,000,000 pesos. We considered the selling price to be pretty good, considering the damage and wear we inflicted upon it over the course of the journey.
