Creating A Profile Page
The easiest way to create a new profile page is to add your name to the main UglyMugs index page. If you've got a name like SundayKofax that's made up of two words, just write your name, without any spaces, making sure to capitalize both words, and it will automatically be a link to a new page where you can add your profile. If you've got a one-word name, like Wadsbone, you'll need to surround your name with curly braces, like so: {{Wadsbone}}.
Once you see the link on the UglyMugs page, just click on the question mark to the left of your name. This takes you to the edit page for your profile. Add any text or photos that you'd like, type the name of your profile in the 'Author:' field, then click save.
Referring To Your Profile
All of the profile pages are created in a section of the wiki called 'Profiles'. This means that when you're editing pages in other sections of the wiki (like 'Main' or 'Lexicon',) you need to do something special to refer to your profile page. Normally, you'd refer to another wiki page by simply using the CamelHump notation (it's called a WikiWord) with no spaces, or with the curly brace notation ({{Something}}). To refer to your profile from a page outside of the Profiles section, use the curly braces, and put a '~' in front of the name. Click 'Edit Page' at the lower right of this page to see how I did it on this page.
Note: If you sign your page edits with your profile name, a link to your profile will be created automatically in the RecentChanges page.
